About

Art has always been and will always be my number one passion. It is my hope that the images I paint give the viewer some of the joy that I get while making them. As a 4th generation native Coloradan I am an advocate for protecting our beautiful, unique mountains and wild spaces. A portion of my sales go to benefit different groups that keep this beautiful state safe wild, like Colorado Fourteener Initiative.

~ Here is my story…

I attended the University of Denver to get a BFA in ceramics. During this time I studied abroad in Florence, Italy for 10 months where I learned to appreciate art history and traditional and Renaissance paintings. After graduating in 2011, I spent some time at Anderson Ranch and then interned at the Art museum.

Although I did not stick with ceramics, I fell back in love with painting. Inspired by Albert Bierstadt, I climbed all of Colorado’s 58 14k foot peaks and painted the views while on the summits. These 1’x2’ acrylic paintings were painted 100% above 14k feet from 2014-2016. This project taught me to have a great appreciation for Colorado’s vast and unique landscape. It taught me the importance of chasing impractical dreams and reminded me of why it is so important to keep these places wild, undamaged and preserved for future generations. You can view some of them on the 14er Summit Paintings tab! If you are interested in acquiring the collection please fill out a contact form.

Art may be my passion, but it is not my career. Because I only have time to paint around my busy work and MBA schedule, I generally do not take commissions. Please refer to my Prints Tab for available work. Thank you for understanding and thank you for wanting to support a local artist!

~ to your success <3
